From the 4th until the 10th of July 2011, I followed a mastercourse with the great Georgian pianist, Mrs. Elisso Virsaladze.

This mastercourse took place in Sermoneta, a little town near Rome, Italy.
It was already the 2nd time I took part in this mastercourse.
It is a mastercourse of a very high level: in the beginning I had to  do an audition that decided whether I could have all lessons or whether I was only a listener.  After only 1 min of Mozart -playing, she stopped me and said I was accepted!

I had 3 lessons on Mozart concerto D minor and Rachmaninov 3rd pianoconcerto.  The rest of the time, I listened to the other students, which was sometimes even more interesting because I had a more objective point of view.

This Masterclass is very good for 2 reasons: great (but severe) Professor & a beautiful little village where I could focus totally on the music.  In Sermoneta there is no internet, almost no phone-connection, no bank-facilities, no cars: the only ‘noice’ comes from the birds :-)

And last but not least: a lot of delicious “gelato’s” and pasta’s, of course! :-)
