Aveline Gram

Aveline and violinist Gayané Grigoryan are a duo since January 2009.
They met eachother in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and have done already a lot of concerts together.
They have made their debut in the Concertgebouw of Bruges in January 2010 and will now play in the big hall of the Centre of Fine Arts in Brussels (BOZAR).
This hall, the “Henri Le Boeuf-hall”, is the big concert-hall with 2200 places that is used for all important concerts in Belgium and also for the finals of the famous Queen Elisabeth competition.

It is very difficult to be invited by the BOZAR:
First Aveline & Gayané had to be approved by the artistic commission, than they had to pass an audition by recording.
They have been invited to play a recital immediately after  passing this audition, despite the long waiting-list.

The concert will take place on Sunday, 23rd of April 2011 from 11:00 until 12:00 in the context of “SERIES BozarSundays”.
This project allows visitors to  take breakfast on Sunday mornings in the BOZAR at 10 am before going to the lunch-concert; and also gives the opportunity to young talents to give a recital in this famous hall.

The program will be partially duo/solo.

  1. Frédéric Devreese, Benvenuta – suite (duo)
  2. Nathan Milstein, Paganiniana (violin solo)
  3. Frédéric Chopin, Ballade no. 1, op. 23 (piano solo)
  4. César Franck, Sonata for violin and piano (duo)
